From Bioware CS:
Firstly, we would like to thank you all for your continued patience while we attempt to resolve the crashing issues you are having. We would like to let you know that we will be implementing a fix in an upcoming patch that should resolve a large number of the game crashing issues you are experiencing.

I'm hoping it's the next maintenance window--which, btw, will NOT be this upcoming Tuesday. Yep, They announced that this Tuesday, there will NOT be any server maintenance downtime. Inexplicably having the game just quit just makes me not want to log in.

Interview with some devs about Patch 1.3, and about being able to add augment slots to gear (prior to 1.3 if your companion "crit" on the crafting, it would add an augment slot to the gear, which is more better). Interesting read--http://inquisitorsroadhouse.com/2012/05/16/patch-1-3-crew-skills-changes-qa-with-swtor-systems-designers-david-hunt-and-patrick-malott/

Highlights taken from and condensed from article:

Done at (previously useless) Item Modification Stations

Adding an augment slot has a cost that scales up for the level of augments you want to be able to use.

Unlike other mod slots, the augment slot is now tiered; you can add a slot that supports low level augments for substantially less cost than a high level augment slot.

If you choose to apply a lower tier augment, you can upgrade it later.

Two costs to add an augment slot: Credits and an Augmentation Kit.

The current cost progression starts at 4,500 credits and ends at 50,000 credits.

Kits come in the same MKs that match the types of slots you can add to an item.

Kits are acquired through three crew skills: Armstech, Armormech and Synthweaving. There is no difference in the kits they make, and they can find the recipes on the trainer.

In order to create a kit, you need 10 Augmentation Slot Components of the appropriate MK.

You receive one component whenever you Reverse Engineer a piece of crafted gear. Note that this is a non-random addition on top of the other returns you already get from RE, meaning that every 10 consumed items will reliably give you the components for one kit.

Since you get the component for the level of the item you’re making, you don’t need to try to craft the expensive purple 10 times. Just make one, then if you don’t crit you can make cheaper items to get the components necessary to create an augment kit.

Costs to extract components from gear will be reduced.

Improving the quality of many of the level 50 flashpoint drops to support Group Finder.

though most people were disconnected around 11-12 i managed to keep playing up til 3:40pm. lvl 32 w00t.
one would think blizz would have been ready for a release of this magnitude. they really should have just let the servers go live at midnight EST so the login servers were not jammed up so bad when PSt players got there games going. but i geuss it wouldnt have mattered for people that did the digital download on the west coast since there is no more east and west servers.

oh well, hopefully servers are back up soon.

If anyone needs a project idea or at least is willing to let me bounce it off them and see about the difficulty (I know from past experience that what sounds 'easy" is in fact not), I'd appreciate some time once the hubbub of D3 dies down. I can provide storyboards.

Name/Age: James Rodriguez 28

About yourself: I'm a Geek Squad computer agent from Bakersfield California, Yes I do drive around in the little geek squad car. In my spare time I like working on electronics and I'm in the process of building a lifesized R2-D2. My days off are Thursday and Sunday so I'm hoping to be able to run Ops sundays

Specs (pve/pvp), professions: DPS Armstech Salvaging and Investigation

Previous guilds/servers, and reason for leaving: This is my first character for SWTOR, but I did play wow a few years back.

Why do you want to join The Incredibles: I'm looking for a good group of people to have fun with and be able to run some endgame instances with.

Names of friends or family in the guild and your relationship to them: NA

Raid and PvP experience: I'm relatively new to SWTOR operations, but did run the second half of an Op with a The Incredibles guild group

Goals in the game and our guild: I'd like to have a regular group that I can play with and experiance the endgame content

Alts/Level/Class/Guilds (including Horde): Melanie Jedi Knight(Tank) 25

Are you planning on recommending more guild members after acceptance? If so, whom?: My brother plays on this server as well and he might be interested in joining.

Name/Age: Dan T. 28

About yourself: I am an IT professional by trade but currently working for circle K (gas station) until I can find better work. I have played MMO's for 13 years and was a guild leader through many games with the same guild up until SWTOR.

Specs (pve/pvp), professions: Currently lvling to 85 in frost as I plan on killing as many horde as I can on the way to 85 lol. For raiding will probably go arcane and pvp unsure yet. Profession wise I will be doing Jewelcrafting unsure of other crafts at this point probably mining for gems but I will definitely have crafts.

Previous guilds/servers, and reason for leaving:

Why do you want to join The Incredibles: I spoke with Hitokirin he told me you guys are relaxed professional helpful and know what your doing as far as raiding and pvp goes. I am looking to join a tight nit group of people that are helpful more than lazy.

Who recommended you to the forums: Hitokirin

Names of friends or family in the guild and your relationship to them: N/A

Raid and PvP experience: I played wow back in vanilla and have done everything from 40 man Naxx up through lich king 25man heroic. I SWTOR I did all Nightmare mode raids was full Rakata and cleared hardmode EC as soon as it came out within the first 2 days of release.

Goals in the game and our guild: Coming back to WoW now I admit I am a bit lost so I am looking to figure out this mage thing and then rock n roll in raids and pvp. I've always had the best gear and wish to maintain that status quo

Alts/Level/Class/Guilds (including Horde): None atm.

Are you planning on recommending more guild members after acceptance? If so, whom?: None at this point in time. The only person if you have a vent and I get accepted whom I would ask to join our vent is my little brother as we are lvling together he may join on his Warlock but unsure so I will not mention his name at this point.

Name/Age: Shellzy, 72

About yourself: I joined these forums in September 2005 and leveled my hunter in Vanilla by the same name as my forum account =) IRL though since then I got married and I'm finishing my uni degree. Wat up!

Specs (pve/pvp): subtlety all the way!

professions: Alch/Herb

Previous guilds/servers, and reason for leaving: I have been in a wealth of guilds on Boulderfist but only in Vanilla/BC. I've been playing on an Oceanic server since then.

Why do you want to join The Incredibles: To level up to 85 and play wow with experienced players, not scrubs in a random social guild.

Who recommended you to the forums: A character named Aimless in vanilla. I knew him (sorta) irl. But more recently i.e. today: Doomfireface

Names of friends or family in the guild and your relationship to them: Don't know if there's anyone in the guild that I know anymore tbh but I originally joined in vanilla due to people I knew outside of the game.

Raid and PvP experience: Where do I begin... I was the most geared hunter on Boulderfist in vanilla, and he was a Marshal. Shellzy is a Lieutenant Commander.

Goals in the game and our guild: I want to have minimum ilvl 378 gear ready to level in MoP!

Alts/Level/Class/Guilds (including Horde): I have 7 level 85's, all horde on Frostmourne. Mage, Warlock, DK, DK, Hunter, Paladin, Priest

Are you planning on recommending more guild members after acceptance? If so, whom?: Not sure, I have no idea who I know that plays on Boulderfist anymore! Haven't been active on the server for nearly four years!
